Film Threat Calls Bruce One Of The Coldest People In Hollywood

Thanks to the anonymous tipster for this next story. Film Threat revealed their list for the 50 Coldest People In Hollywood, and ranked Bruce at 13. Here is what they had to say.

13. Bruce Campbell
Bruce Campbell, B-movie hero to millions, is now hawking Old Spice. Is this what everyone who watched Roger Staubach shill for Rolaids or Muhammad Ali pitch Roach Motels felt? That chill in the air has nothing to do with a horde of cameos, bit parts, and voice acting—that chill is Bruce Campbell, coasting on a frozen career.
Anti-Freeze: No cameos, no bit parts, no voice acting, no piss-poor "My Name is Bruce." No video games. No television. He needs to get his metal hand back on and do "Evil Dead 4" already.

Raimi Still Doesn't Know If He Will Direct 'Spider-Man 4'

Raimi was interviewed by Wizard Entertainment and had the following to say regarding his status involvement in 'Spider-Man 4'. If Sam does direct the film, Bruce will likely have another cameo to add to his resume.

Because I love Spider-Man I would just say—I don't want to pick someone. I don't know if I’ll be directing the picture or not, but I'd like to say that it would be somebody that was the best gift I could give to Spider-Man—someone who understands him and loves him and could bring his passion and love to the character. A character director probably; no one else.

Fangoria Talks 'Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash'

Fangoria did a story today on how the whole comic book deal transpired regarding the 'Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash' story. Here is an excerpt from what they had to see. You can clicked on the link below to read the full story.

“Maybe six months after the deal died was when discussions started going on internally about what to do with the story,” Katz recalls. “The comic-book idea was always in the back of our heads. Thankfully, Wildstorm and Dynamite [publishers of the ARMY OF DARKNESS comics]—along with New Line—were able to come together and finally bring this to the fans.”

The series of books, which will be 6 all together, will be written by James Kuhoric with three interlocking covers by J. Scott Campbell. The first issue is out right now, with the rest soon to follow. For those wondering exactly how these 3 horror icons can even make sense together. Go out, and watch Evil Dead 2, Army Of Darkness, Freddys Dead The Final Nightmare, Jason Goes To Hell, and Freddy Vs Jason. Trust me, they all link together.

'My Name Is Bruce' In Select Theatres and DVD in 2008, Possible Sequel Title

Product Reviews had this to say regarding the release of 'My Name Is Bruce'. Bruce's site is saying the DVD is coming out in 2007 but these guys say 2008. Looks like we still do not know.

Also announced is that Image Entertainment is releasing My Name is Bruce in select theatres and on home video in 2008. The movie follows the story of Bruce Campbell as himself, as he is mistaken for his character Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy and is forced to fight a real monster in a small town in Oregon. Apparently, a sequel to that is already in the works and is called: My Name Is Still Bruce.

Bruce Campbell Not In 'Ghost Town'

Cinematical is reporting that Bruce Campbell is joining the movie Ghost Town starring Tea Leoni, Ricky Gervais, Kristin Wiig, and Greg Kinnear. This is FALSE. It's actually Billy Campbell that has joined the film and not Bruce. Here is what Cinematical had to say about Bruce in the movie:

"He has signed on to play Leoni's character's fiance -- the one that the dentist really isn't into. Since this ghostly apparition isn't through Whoopi, I keep wondering if it'll end up with Kinnear taking over Gervais' body to have a second chance with his wife. Or maybe Campbell will go Ash on his ass and take him out of the picture"

Scifiwire and other sources have confirmed that it is Billy Campbell, Bruce's 'name nemesis' playing Leoni's fiance and not Bruce.
